Damtec® is the product line of Gummiwerk KRAIBURG RELASTEC GmbH especially developed for
impact sound insulation and vibration absorption.

An effective impact and footfall sound reduction helps improving quality of life, an efficient vibration isolation provides living comfort and good working atmosphere. Under the brand name Damtec® our customers find a wide range of products for acoustic insulation as well as for vibrations deadening for different requirements and application areas.

Our recycled rubber mats for impact noise insulation and vibration control were tested in accordance to the relevant DIN, EN and ASTM standards at established Laboratories, Institutes and Universities. This concerns e.g. acoustic mesurements, static and dynamic material behaviour and on site tests.
2 PRODUCT GROUPS FOR 2 WIDE SECTORS
1. Impact sound insulation
On the one hand Gummiwerk KRAIBURG RELASTEC GmbH provides different acoustic underlays based on recycled rubber granulate for outstanding impact, airborn and drum sound improvement. The floor underlayments are best suited for residential, commercial and industrial applications in new buildings as well as in the renovation / refurbishment sector.
Among our acoustic underlays, some can be laid underneath the floor finishes, some under floating screed as well as under rigid floor elements on wooden subfloors. This solution is best suited for new and old timber frame houses with floor joist. The especially developed impact sound insulating mats can be used under all common floorings. By adapting different raw material formulations we provide acoustic insulation products for solid and engineered parquet, laminate floors, cork flooring, resilient floor finishes like linoleum, PVC, vinyl as well as for carpet floors. Under ceramic tiles and stoneware floors our acoustic underlayers achieve further to the footfall noise reduction also a decoupling effect.
2. Vibration Technology
On the other hand we provide adequate products for vibration isolation.
Both in building construction and civil engineering our product line Damtec® vibra is the optimal solution for vibration damping and structure-borne sound isolation. The use of this anti-vibration mat ensures a reliable deadening of mechanical vibrations and of solid-borne noise. This protection against vibrations eliminates the risk of structural damages, whether for industrial floors, machine foudations, ventilation systems, helicopter landing pads, chillers among others.
In track constructions (railway, subway, tramway) our sub ballast mat called Damtec® KRAIBURG USM is the ideal isolating mat under tracks. This elastic track-bed mat reduces the transmission of solid-born noise, as well as acoustic and vibration emissions. The ballast mat contributes in this way to obtain both acoustic insulation and protection of contructions such as buildings in residential areas. The Damtec® KRAIBURG USM- sub ballast mat can be used under ballast or for mass spring systems, and is tested in accordance with the Technical Delivery Terms of Deutsche Bahn /German Railways.
